I always use a brush unless with foundation you have some blemishes then use a sponge, but blot the makeup in the area & smooth over with a light powder finish then brush on. When you apply more makeup with brushes it gives it a softer look. You can still go for dramatic if you apply more. But this way it doesn’t look like you need a chizel to get it off your face at night when washing.
For foundation, I prefer sponge becuase then you can really blend it & also sometimes the brush hair get on your face & stick to the foundation. For eyeshadow, both work equally well, but I prefer the sponge applicator becuase then you can get it a little bit wet which makes the eye color so much more intense & long-lasting. For lip gloss, I just always use the lip brush that comes with it & it’s always worked fine for me.
BRUSHES!!!!!
There is a perfect brush for every need/area! Just get natural fibers – acrylic is plastic, & will scratch your skin!!! http://www.beautyblisscosmetics.com has fabulous sable brushes at rock bottom prices!!
I don’t use foundation I use a two in one powder from MAC. When applying it I use the brush, to touch up I use the sponge.
Eyesahdow I use both.
I only use lipgloss
foundation: sponge Why?: because you can smooth it on better & with the brush you can really put it on smoothly
eyeshadow: brush Why?: because using a small brush you can put it on da lid evenly while the sponge may make the make up look alittle to much
glose: lip brush why?: because it glides on smoothly
foundation: i use mineral makeup with a face brush
eyeshadow: brush for overall & sponge for accentuating
lipstick: doesn’t matter…whatever it comes in…
-if liquid foundation apply it with finger it works better then use sponge to even it out..if u are adding a powder use a brush
-use a brush for eyeshadow
-u can use the lipbrush or just the applicator
