I think the best lip color is a shade that simply enhances your natural lip color. If you’re older & your natural lip color is faded, go maybe a half shade darker, no more. Some people have a very well-defined lip color & only need a little gloss. In any case, the color that nature gave you… is obviously your best shade!
What I don’t like are bright, dark, or harsh shades that make girls look cheap or clownish. Also, I’m not a fan of the trend towards “neutral lips”. I think lightening your lip color makes them fade into your face & makes your teeth look terrible! You should be able to SEE your lips, right?

Not anything to outrageous. A simle color or even a clear is cute. If they over do it, like on pale skin & bright red lips, then its overdone
