Lipstick Answers

This is a list created by St. Mary’s Catholic Church, & if 5 or more of these apply to you or your teenager, you or your child is a Gothic (please note “a Gothic”), & you need reform through the Lord for your soul to be saved, according to them, anyway.
1. Frequently wears black clothing.
2. Wears band and/or rock T-shirts.
3. Wears excessive black eye makeup, lipstick, or nail polish.
4. Wears any odd, silver jewelry or symbols. Some of these include: reversed crosses, pentagrams, pentacles, ankhs, or various other Satanic worshiping symbols.
5. Shows an interest in piercings or tattoos.
6. Listens to gothic or any other anti-social genres of music. (Marilyn Manson claims to be the anti-Christ, & publicly against the Lord. Please dispose of any such albums IMMEDIATELY.)
7. Associates with other people that dress, act, or speak eccentrically.
8. Shows a declining interest in wholesome activities, such as: the Bible, prayer, church or sports.
9. Shows an increasing interest in death, vampires, magic, the occult, witchcraft, or anything else that involves Satan.
10. Takes drugs.
11. Drinks alcohol.
12. Is suicidal and/or depressed.
13. Cuts, burns, or partakes in any other method of self-mutilation. (This is a Satanic ritual that uses pain to detract from the light of God & His love. Please seek immediate attention for this at your local mental health center.)
14. Complains of boredom.
15. Sleeps too excesively or too little.
16. Is excessively awake during the night.
17. Dislikes sunlight or any other form of light. (This pertains to vampires promoting the idea that His light is of no use.)
18. Demands an usual amount of privacy.
19. Spends large amount of time alone.
20. Requests time alone & quietness. (This is so your child may speak to evil spirits through meditation.)
21. Insists on spending time with friends while unaccompanied by an adult.
22. Disregards authority figures; teachers, priests, nuns & elders are but a few examples of this.
23. Misbehaves at school.
24. Misbehaves at home.
25. Eats goth-related foods. Count Dracula cereal is an example of this.
26. Drinks blood or expresses an interest in drinking blood. (Vampires believe that this is how to attain Satan. This act is very dangerous & should be stopped immediately.)
27. Watches cable TV or any other corrupted media sources. (Ask your local church for proper programs that your child may watch.
28. Plays video games that contains violence or are of a role-playing nature.
29. Uses the internet excessively & frequently makes time for the computer.
30. Makes Satanic symbols or violently shakes head to music.
31. Dances to music in a provocative or sexual manner.
32. Expresses an interest in sex.
33. Masturbates.
34. Is homosexual and/or bisexual.
35. Persues dangerous cult religions. Such include: Satanism, Scientology, Philosophy, Paganism, Wicca, Hinduism, & Buddhism.
36. Wears pins, stickers or anything else that contains these various phrases: “I’m so gothic, I’m dead”, “woe is me”, “I’m a goth”.
37. Claims to be a goth.
Apparently, if you have 5 or more, you’re in danger of hellfire. I have 19 of them, so according to these people, I am “a Gothic” & need “immediate reform through the Lord.”

I love Hallowe’en, I’m 13, & this year, shall be going as a zombie/dead school girl.
So far, I’ve come up with:

Ripped trousers, one leg shorter with my white & black striped knee high socks on
My hair in really scruffy pig tails
Smudged makeup around my eyes
What colour lipstick?
Any more ideas to add?

Does it really moisturize your lips?
Does it last?
Does it make your lips gummy or sticky?
Should I get it?

I’m a brunette with brown eyes & fair skin. Whenever I have one of those makeup demos done, they tell me to stick to the brownish-pink shades of lipstick. They tell me not to go too light. It took me some time to get used to that, but it seems to work for me.

I have allergies to makeup. Any time I apply foundation, eye shadow, mascara, or anything makeup related (except for lipstick & lipgloss), I break out in little hives & my eyes get red & puffy. My doctors don’t know what’s causing the breakouts. I’m really frustrated because I also can’t put anything on my face like mosturizers or other cremes because I break out. I’m trying to get to the root of this problem & was wondering if anyone else has this problem because so far I haven’t heard of anyone else other than me with this problem. I’d really appreciate any information that anyone has. Thanks!
P.S. Hypo-allergenic makeup isn’t really that hypo-allergenic if you know what I mean.

I wear Revlon ColorStay Liquid Foundation in Toast with Revlon ColorStay Pressed Powder in Deep. My lips are for the most part brown with little bits of deep pinkish red. I’ve tried long wearing lipsticks but they dry out my lips & never lasts. I want to cover the uneven tone of my lips, look as natural as possible & for the product compliment my complexion as well as last through many kisses What should I use? I would greatly appreciate your recommendations. Thanks.

I have Full blown Fibromyalgia & have tried & still doing the best I can with my doctor’s care, but I have been reading a book that says to Avoid Salicylates & take Gauifenesin. That Salicylates block gauifenesin & gauifenesin helps your body remove phosphates from your body. Kidney are not working right & customarily friendly phosphates…there’s just too much of it in the wrong places. Actually it’s a book that details a treatment that reverses Fibromyalgia by avoiding salicylates & gauifenesin helps with this treatment. I tried the Gaufenesin after asking my doctor, who said he thought it would NOT hurt me & maybe help. But he also said I did NOT have to avoid salicylates. Nothing happened…. so I reread the book & it says, you must avoid salicylates in order for this treatment to work. If anyone out there has tried this treatment, please let me know. To avoid salicylates: lipsticks, mouthwashes, toothpaste, nasal sprays, plant oil, extract, teas,.

I had a Bar-B-Que stain on my white t-shirt, she was, killin’ me in that mini skirt, skippin’ rocks on the river by the railroad tracks, she had a sun tan line & red lipstick, i worked so hard for that first kiss and…

I had just finished showering & getting dressed & I turn around to find my cat with her two front paws wrapped around my leg, this is not unusual she does it quite often in a friendly manner & she was in heat. I bent down to remove her & at that point she jumped into the air at my face, her first paw hit my lips & her other barely touched my ear & neck, then I had to pull her off. She left 3 claw marks below my bottom lip (only one is deep) & 1 above my top lip that pierced through the entire lip, she kept hissing at me afterwards & I had to usher her out of the bathroom using the bottom of a laundry basket as a shield, the only reasoning I can come up with is she was having hormonal related issues a few weeks ago & I was wearing very bright lipstick (Which I don’t usually do) but if anyone has any other reasons or if you think she is sick in some way (She has had her rabies vaccine quite recently, 4 weeks about & she is an indoor cat) please answer.

Its a new product out & costs around $100. the applicator is shaped like a lipstick that can be used over & over. Its a device that heats up to around 50 degrees & when applied to the cold sore kills the virus starting to grow.
if anyone has used this or heard that it actually works can you please let me know as i suffer from cold sores quite alot.

I really loved the make up on Bella in Twilight, & in a magazine article. It says all her eye make up was MAC, & it’s just too expensive for me. So I bought a cheaper brand of make up with the same eyeshadow colors. The only thing that bugs me about it is that it has a little glitter. (I HATE GLITTER) I didn’t even know it had glitter, I just knew after I bought it (they didn’t have a tester) Is there a way to get rid of the glitter?? Anyway, I’ve looked at some tutorials on youtube & I tried doing it but mine always ends up messy, I don’t know if the make up is just too cheap (got it for like $5, i feel bad about blaming the make up) or am I just applying it wrong? This is my first time, so does applying eyeshadow take practice? Or is it like lipstick where you just know how to put it on?

i really want to try it, but i don’t want to accidentally slip while applying it, & then have to have messed up makeup for 3-5 days.

This is a snippet from a story my friend & I are writing, & I want to know how other people (outside of our little inside joke world) perceive this. It is Harry Potter related, as you’ll probably realize. We just used J.K. Rowling’s world as the setting. Here’s what’s going on: Rosetta married Gilderoy Lockhart’s brother, who died, & now she wants to marry Gilderoy for money. But she soon finds out that Gilderoy has already found a wife…
“Darling, we’re going out today,” Rosetta announced, prancing into Valencia’s room & drumming her Deadly Scarlet fingernails on her daughter’s vanity.
“Where to?” Valencia put down the tube of pink lipstick she had been applying & looked up at her mother.
“The Leaky Cauldron. It’s a pub in London. We’re meeting your uncle Gilderoy there, as I’ve told you already.”
Valencia sighed & rubbed her lips together. “When are we leaving?”
“Now,” Rosetta said without hesitation. “Or as long as it takes to pack. You might want to overpack.” She grinned diabolically at her fingernails. “I expect we’ll be away for quite some time.”
An hour later, Valencia & Rosetta stood in front of the Lockhart mansion, both clutching their luggage.
“Are we Apparating, Mother?” Valencia asked.
“Not all the way, no, but we will Apparate to the dock. We will be traveling by Le Sottomarino del Cavaliere.”
Valencia automatically translated the Italian to English in her mind. “The Knight Submarine.” She frowned. Traveling by sea made her sick.
“Exactly.” Rosetta pulled out her pocket mirror & redid her mascara. “We’re off.”
12. Le Sottomarino del Cavaliere, on which the Original Pun is Lost Entirely
Le Sottomarino del Cavaliere turned out to be a dingy little watercraft with one tiny porthole & a single smeared, cracked window. It was rusty & dented, & looked as though it might collapse if submersed in water.
They were greeted at the entrance by a greasy-haired youth with a severe acne problem.
“Ackerley Shunpike, at your serveece,” he announced in a clearly fake Italian accent. He surveyed the newest passengers & let out a low, awestruck whistle. He bowed so low that his cap fell off.
“I reserved our quarters in advance. Gerrard is the name.” Rosetta sniffed, apparently disapproving of the submarine’s staff. Greasy people repulsed her.
Ackerley consulted the list in front of him & looked up at Rosetta & Valencia with a satisfied smirk. “First class, no? Ah, yes, of course. Right dis way, lovely ladees.” The two handed their luggage over to a burly young man, who promised to make sure it reached their destination safely. That out of the way, Ackerley motioned for the two women to climb through the porthole.
Valencia stared at her mother. They were actually getting into this piece of junk? And what was ‘first class’ supposed to mean? Sailing across the ocean in a garbage can for a month would have been more comfortable than spending a couple of hours in that metal disaster.
“Go, Valencia,” Rosetta ordered.
Valencia shut her eyes so she wouldn’t have to look at the slime that decorated the edges of the porthole. Then, stepping carefully so she wouldn’t dirty her cashmere pants, she squeezed through it.
When Valencia had imagined the inside of the Knight Submarine, she had pictured a tiny, enclosed space with hardly enough oxygen to breathe & the view of a polluted ocean through the grimy window.
How very wrong she was. When she entered through the tiny porthole, Valencia saw to her amazement that it looked nothing like the inside of a Muggle submarine at all. In fact, it bore an uncanny resemblance to her own mansion home, & was at least ten times as large. She gazed at her surroundings in utter astonishment, wondering just how many undetectable expansion charms had been used to create this king among submersibles. Intricately patterned rugs & carpets covered the floor, balconies & staircases led to oak doors with brass handles & knockers, & waiters (all of whom were Italian models) strode to & fro among the countless circular tables, bearing trays of food to satisfy passengers’ appetites. A fountain in the center of it all gently spewed crystal-clear water into its marble basin, which drained right into the ocean & repeated the cycle. Beneath a moving oil painting of a cherub feeding grapes to a puppy, a group of musicians played.
Valencia stood frozen in shock.
“Eet’s nice, eesn’t eet?” Ackerley said from his position at her right.
Valencia only nodded. She was lost for words.
“Take us to our lodgings,” Rosetta said imperiously, & they set off, Ackerley leading, Rosetta trailing at the rear.
Ackerley insisted on walking next to Valencia, something that greatly annoyed her. He kept glancing at her expectantly & raising one eyebrow, as if waiting for her to flirt with

I was thinking about getting a lip stain but I wasn’t quite sure how it worked. I want to go for the natural lip (like one you would want to kiss) but I don’t want it to feel dry to the touch (kiss) like it feels when you use all day wear lipstick (like cover girls outlast all day lip color)
Is it drying to the lips? Does it look natural? What are you experiences with it?? Any help is greatly appreciated!!

i bought it today in 87-praline digitale. its kinda weird to apply. not really sure if i like it or not.
so what do you think of it if you have bought it?
does it wear well? like do you have to keep reapplying it like lipstick?

it’s a pretty old movie, not like black & white or anything but id guess its like 10 years old or something around there. maybe newer, im not sure. i dont remember any of the actors in it, because none of them are super famous. i do remember the plot line.
its a really twisted story about a woman who works as a physcologist in a mental hospital. she goes to a cabin for a weekend with her husband & sister. she has a brain tumour. one of the patients she diagnosed as insane escapes & find her at the cabin, & he has a sidekick with him. they basically torture the woman, her sister, & her husband. then the husband kills the sidekick, & the main guy starts talking to the woman. everything takes a super wierd turn then. the woman had been applying lipstick throughout the whole movie, & it flashes back & shows that she was actually giving herself needles. it flashes back to when she first walked into the cabin at the beginning of the movie & shows her sister having sex with her husband, & shows her shooting her dog. then shes back talking to the crazy guy, & shes cutting her finger off. then shes in the bathroom suddenly, unconcious on the floor after giving herself a needle, & her husband is outside the door asking if shes ok.
really wierd, i know, but does anyone whos seen it remember the name?
