Nude would be the best for natural look, & perfect to combine with smokey eyes for special occasion.

I’m a brunette with brown eyes & fair skin. Whenever I have one of those makeup demos done, they tell me to stick to the brownish-pink shades of lipstick. They tell me not to go too light. It took me some time to get used to that, but it seems to work for me.

I am going to a party & i was wondering what I should wear (make-up) to a party tomorrow night. I have brown hair & brown eyes so what color eye-shadow should i wear & if I should have a dark or light lipstick. The party is kind of a casual party.

I have blue eyes.

I am going to get my hair dyed from dark brown to dirty blond. I’ve never done that before so i wanted to know what color clothes would look good with pale skin & dirty blond hair, & also what makeup (i don’t want to look trashy). Especially what color lipsticks & eyeshadows. please help!!

It does not have to be MAC,it’s ok if it’s from Wal*Mart,CVS,Walgreens or so.

ok as I stated before I have dark brown hair & eyebrows with light blue eyes & pale skin. I always feel like my hair leaves me looking washed out. any tips on make up? especially eye makeup & lipstick colors! pictures appreciated!

want to start using very red lipstick but I am kind of afraid it will look ridiculous. What are some good tips for wearing red lipstick without looking cheap or like a clown?

What about your skintone? This is the most important determining factor when selecting a lipstick shade, not eye color or hair color.
Depending on whether you have pink or yellow undertones in your pale skin, you will be able to wear almost any color lipstick, but the key is to find the right shade in that particular color. For example, if you have pink undertones (cool skintone), you’ll be able to wear shades like burgundy, wine, cherry red, true red, grape (the purple shade made popular in Prada print ads), & almost all shades of pink. If you have yellow undertones (warm skintone), then you’ll be able to wear shades like coral, orangey reds, fuschia, nude, & even true red (the universally flattering shade).
I have very fair skin with pink undertones, & I love wearing various shades of red……and here are a few photos of red that flatter fair skintones:

I bought a Bobbi Brown lipstick about a year ago, wore it a couple of times & then had to take if off within an hour of applying it as it has a foul taste, all I can describe it as, is a taste of ‘chopped liver’.! I thought it might have gone off so gave Bobbi Brown the benefit of the doubt & bought another lipstick yesterday. It has the same foul taste. Anyone else notice this?

It depends on the undertones of your skin. Are you slightly yellow toned or slightly pink toned? If you have yellowish tones, stick with warm shades of red (as in orangey reds). If you have pinkish tones, stick with cooler shades (bluish/purple reds).

my sister in-law has a light-medium skin tone with red patches on her face & nose. She has deep set blue eyes, & dark brown hair. What coloring for eyeshadow, blush, & lipstick would u recommend? For a natural fresh pretty look.
also, she has a round face with not much cheek bone structure, what is the best way to apply her blush?

I usually wear a foundation lashes & lashes & lashes of black mascara, eyeliner, sometimes a highlighter (shimmer in gold/bronze) & pale lips
me & my friend often like to shock so wear VERY BRIGHT colour lipsticks like the likes of barry m but i’d like some new makeup looks

well i am tan also with dark hair & brown eyes i wear white eyeshadow but i dont put alot on just enough to notice it & i wear brown,dark blue,or a dark green eyeliner.brown lipliner with clear lipgloss or a lipstick or a lipgloss shade that goes with my lips but when i wear lipstick i put gloss over it.and ppl always compliment me on the way i do my make up.it looks more natural not like all those other women who cake it on & look horrible.hope i have helped

When I wear bright pinks & burning reds, my skin tone tends to look the best.
I’ve used pale colours for eye shadows & I prefer natural pinks/almost non-existant colours for the lips, preferring to use gloss as I think my lips are a good colour anyway.
When I use lipsticks I usually feel tarty – they look too solid in colour. Deep browns & reds look awful…!
All suggestions & advice would be much appreciated!
