Lipstick Answers

I need some fashion advice from the ladies please, 10 points for the most helpful & detailed! At the office where I work some women were complaining about how hard it is to wear high heels all day & I joked that it can’t be that hard. They ended up betting me that I could not spend a day wearing them & it kind of built from there! So I have taken this bet. There is a Christmas party one night in December which is a costume party. I have to dress as a glamorous woman for it & they got the boss to agree that I should dress like them for work all that day too. These are the rules:
* I must wear high stiletto heels all day
* I must wear a smart suit for work with a short skirt
* My dress for the party must be mini length
* EVERYTHING I wear must be womens clothing!
* there will be a vote to decide if I am “convincing” enough to win the bet.
It is worth winning & I like having a laugh, so I thought it would be fun. But I have got to look great, so I need suggestions for the clothes I can buy, links would be helpful. And any advice about what accessories & so on I should get to make myself look like a woman! Thanks for the help!

The Happy Hangover
Jack wakes up with a huge hangover after attending his company’s Christmas Party. Jack is not normally a drinker, but the drinks didn’t taste like alcohol at all. He didn’t even remember how he got home from the party. As bad as he was feeling, he wondered if he did something wrong.
Jack had to force himself to open his eyes, & the first thing he sees is a couple of aspirins next to a glass of water on the side table. And, next to them, a single red rose! Jack sits up & sees his clothing in front of him, all clean & pressed. He looks around the room & sees that it is in perfect order, spotlessly clean. So is the rest of the house.
He takes the aspirins, cringes when he sees a huge black eye staring back at him in the bathroom mirror. Then he notices a note hanging on the corner of the mirror written in red with little hearts on it & a kiss mark from his wife in lipstick: “Honey, breakfast is on the stove, I left early to get groceries to make your favorite dinner tonight. I love you, darling! Love, Jillian”
He stumbles into the kitchen & sure enough, there is a hot breakfast, steaming hot coffee, & the morning newspaper all waiting for him. His son is also at the table, eating. Jack asks, “Son… what happened last night?”
“Well, you came home after 3 in the morning, drunk & out of your mind. You fell over the coffee table & broke it, & then you puked in the hallway, & got that black eye when you ran into the door.”
Confused, he asked his son, “So, why is everything in such perfect order & so clean? I have a rose, & breakfast is on the table waiting for me?”
His son replies, “Oh THAT! Well, Mom dragged you to the bedroom, & when she tried to take your pants off, you screamed,’Leave me alone, I’m married!’”

I got a response from one of you people saying lipstick/makeup makes one age faster is this true?
As far as I am concerned if you wash the makeup off before going to bed with a good cleanser etc skin care routine that should be fine
2. If a lipstick is shiny like some from Maybelline can I still apply a bit of lip gloss if I want to?
3. What is the difference between cream shadow & powder shadow & is their effect when applied

I’d never thought to ask myself this question. I read in an article that women should find at least one facial favorite & accentuate it when applying makeup. But not only that, it’s a great way to think more positively about yourself (which some of us don’t do enough of!). My facial fav is my lips. (No wonder lipstick, lipgloss etc. has been my favorite part of makeup)… lol

1. How many coats of lipstick should I apply – one or two?
2. Which lipstick is better in terms of staying longer without drying out my lips?
3. Can I apply lipgloss after my lipstick?
4. Do I choose a lipstick according to my complexion or what?

1. Is it true that I buy a lipliner that is exactly the same colour as my lipstick or rather as close as possible to my lipstick meaning same hue?
2. How do I apply lipliner on my lips just straight across or there is a way to do it?

I just recently purchased this top from bebe.com it was on sale for about $48…I was interested in that top earlier, but something about it made me not buy it, I mean I think its cute but not “wow” cute. I showed my bf & asked him for advice, & he said that its “ok” he said he didnt really like the neckline. I like it because of the fluttering short sleeve, & the color which I looks like dark pink but the color description says “lipstick diva” can someone tell me what exactly lipstick diva is, is it red instead of pink? & can you please rate the top for me on a scale from 1-10? I don’t know if I should cancel my order or not, I can still cancel it before it ships. Thanks. Please tell me if you would personally purchases the top or not.

Today I stopped at Target & was searching for some basic makeup. I’ve been having trouble finding the right color lipsticks. I like reds, but they dont seem to suit me very well even though I’m tanned- so I settle for more clear washed roller glosses that arent so bold & have a hint of color. I have used Oil of Olay all my life to clean & moisturize, & I
use Mary Kay foundation, lipstick, & eye shadow, plus their eye
makeup remover. Thinking about getting the Bare Essentials but

Make up is expired? I looked at some lipsticks, foundation & others & I don’t see any expiration dates. I bought a lipstick that was on sale but as soon as I opened it, it smells like it was “medicated.” How do you know how long a make up has been sitting on the shelves for so long?
