Lipstick Answers

I have chosen to wear a lilac dress & i have Revlon Eyeshadow quads which has three shade of purple including lilac & a silver colour. How should i apply this eyeshadow & what colour lipstick or lipgloss should i wear?….NB I have a dark complexion as dark as my avatar or slightly darker.

Okay so i have my dance recital this weekend & Therese a girl in my class that its her first year dancing & she has no clue on how to go about doing her makeup so i offered she said yes im good at applying makeup to myself but i never did it to anyone else. Any tips she has straight eyelashes i don’t no how to deal with that because i have curly & she has like black hair please help . 5 stars for the longest detailed one.(we use mascara, lipstick(red), eye showdow & glitter shadow & powder sprinkle thing)

i really love apply makeup, & i usually wear eyeliner on my upper lid, mascara, eyeshadow, concealer, foundation, setting powder, blush, lip stain, & sometimes lipstick.
today i woke up early & only curled my lashes, applied mascara, foundation, & lip stain, & i look way better than i do without everything else.
its kinda upsetting because i love doing my makeup, but i can’t put too much on.
is that a bad thing?

1.cetaphil daily advance ultra hydrating lotion for dry skin
2. cover girl aqua smoothers in 805 fair to light
3.hard candy sheer envy foundation primer * its clear so i mix a tiny but of cover girl aqua smoothers in 805 fair to light
into it to make sure i can see it *
4 i use relvon color stay for normal to dry skin mixed with a pump of relvon photo ready i use my hands cuz brushes dont work well
with relvon color stay or i use almay pure blends foundation matters how my skin looks
5.i use concealer
6 i use a pressed powder maybelline dream matte or covergirl pressed powder
7.i use hard candy bronzer in tikki all over my face
8 i contour my cheeks with my nyc matte bronzer in sunny cuz i have a round face
9 i put any blush i want on
10.i use a eyelid primer
11.i put any eyeshadow on normaly blue bc browns just make my eyes darker i have black eyes & black hair
12.i put mascara on
13 i use a lipbalm
14 lipstick
15 lipgloss
dont say omg u wear alot if u know me in real life u know it never looks cakey or anything my mom even loves my makeup.
i am a makeup person on youtube on top of that so yea i have frekales beauty marks acne all over my face & i do remove all my makeup
each night & wash my face.

I’m an 19 year old cross dresser & i have just started cross dressing part time in the privacy of my home. I’m trying to hide my cross dressing activities from my parents because they are strong homophobics. Everytime when i wear womens dresses & skirts & heels & a wig i usually apply makeup onto my face to make myself more beautiful & lipstick on my lips. The question is, how do i wash them off completely so my parents wouldn’t notice that i was wearing make up ?? Can anyone please help me out ? I don’t want them finding out about my alter ego.

WHY? MAKEUP IS SUPPOSED TO MAKE YOU LOOK BETTER! I know how to apply it, but even wearing a little mascara makes my eyes look tiny & weird >:(
and bronzer & blush, forget it, my skin tone doesn’t go well with ANY color
and lipstick is pointless for me, & powder, & everything else argh
But I feel like if I don’t wear it, I’m not considered “womanly”
What is wrong with my ugly face?

I notice the bellas wear lipstick but the other divas lip gloss. Do they apply it or makeup artists?

I’ve been doing makeup for about a little over a year now, & I’m not a professional at all, but I like to keep things professional, like with sanitizing my brushes & tools, & using disposable applicators.
Well prom is near, & I have a couple of people I’m doing makeup for, but their all my friends, & I really don’t know how to go about charging them, because their my friends & I just feel it would be awkward or something. I don’t charge over $20, just below, because I don’t do full makeup like I don’t do/have foundation or concealer, I just do eyeshadow, blush, & lipstick/gloss, & I feel that if I should charge over $20 that much I should at least do the whole face, right?
But my main problem is that, makeup is not cheap, there are some products I specifically only use on other people, but I do use some of my own personal, because my kit isn’t quite complete yet & I do need a few more items/things to put into my kit & actually buy a train case since my old one is broken, & I don’t know HOW to ask my friends, which i think is the REAL issue of me not charging. I just been waaaay to nice, & I feel like I might be taken advantage of later if I keep this up. I’m only 17, haven’t found a job yet, so doing this IS my job, & by not charging I’m loosing SO much money. So I just really need help/advice on how to ask & bring that up, without it being awkward.

powder? foundation? lipstick & all that feminine stuff..all i know is i have an eyeliner & some old dark eyeshadows..i have to look neat for some occasion so that’s the main reason.

I really dislike make-up & honesty don’t really need to apply any, I have hardly any acne. Sometimes I can go days without one pimple & usually only breakout around my period, & it’s usually only a couple blind ones.
If I do ever wear makeup it’s very, very light… but I prefer to absolutely wear none. I love a red lip though, would wearing red lipstick & no other makeup look alright? I think it looks great on her.http://i37.tinypic.com/dwrj7.png

I always see women waiting for the subway & taking out compact mirrors & touching up their lipstick, which I think it perfectly fine. But what if you’re in a restaurant or at school, is it okay to do it then?
What about powdering your nose? It doesn’t really seem like something acceptable to do in public, but does it really matter? Sometimes in class before the teacher comes in or at (non-fancy fast food) restaurants my friend takes out liquid foundation with brushes & everything & applies it right there… some people give her dirty looks for doing so. lol

i was thinking bold eyes & nude lips? i definately dont want red lipstick. any ideas would be helpful. also, i just cut my hair short after having it long forever, & i can curl it, but im not really sure how to curl it. so any tips on that too. its to my shoulder. not sure if it helps but i have brown hair & my skin has yellow undertones. smaller eyes & high cheekbones,

I always see all these girls with this makeup yet I never know how to achieve it. What are some tips on application & what makeup should I be buying to achieve a look like this? Especially the lips. see I have naturally dark eyelashes & I love pink lipstick, I hate pink lipstick. can anybody recommend a new style tip? You can also give me tips for hair because mine is naturally curlly too. Thankyou!

I have very pale skin with dark under eye circles, i was interested in mineral makeup but how do u tell which is the right color for ur skin? Is there a special way to apply it? What could I do with my eyes, I have dark grey eyes with really dark eyelashes but my hair color is dark sandy blonde. How do I choose a lipstick that goes well with my pale skin? I honestly have no idea about anything on applying makeup & what brands are good, any help would be great. Thanks

Not that I have tried many different brands of eyeliner/lipstick/etc., but I have tried a few. And they ALL just vanish off my face 5 minutes after I apply them. Makeup just doesn’t like my face! I’m not a super girly-girl who knows the ins & outs of foundations & concealers & stuff, but lately I’ve been trying. If anyone knows any decent brands/ideas, please let me know.

You are lucky to have brown skin tone. You should use a foundation of a shade lighter than your skin tone. Ensure that you apply foundation on your nech, back & ears because the difference in skin tone will be visible if only applied on face. Dab some face powder on yout hands as well. The basic colors that will suit a brown skin tone is – light gloss for lips – you can choose all earthy shades or light pinks. If you want to apply lipstick & no gloss then go for all nude shades/earthy tones like browns. For your cheeks – go for light brown or dusky shade of blusher – just apply it on your cheek bones, jaw line & nose line to highlight your features. For eyes – just apply a stroke of gold glitter & you can use this gold glitter on your cheek bones. Also use this glitter to highlight your nude skin (your back, shoulder etc.) All these tricks can be used for evening look. But if you want to be dressed for a morning function – just be simple. A stroke of any earthy shade blusher on your cheeks & eyes & use a brown lip gloss. If you like than use a kajal (black or brown) or a eye liner to highlight your eyes.

(Makeup as in ANYTHING, I mean will they look like that just after washing their face, lol sounds stupid I know, I can’t even make out if they’re wearing lipstick but then I’m really dumb)
And the skin(can you really have skin like that?)

I’m 15 & I don’t really wear makeup. Where I live, it’s mostly hot & sunny, & I play sports so I’d wash most of it off. But a couple events are coming up (dances, etc.) & I’d like to buy a few staple makeup products. Plz tell me if you’ve used these before or if you have any recommendations. I’d prefer to buy from drugstores since my budget is relatively low.
Eyeliner: Revlon Colorstay vs. CoverGirl Outlast
(i’d like an eyeliner that doesn’t smudge & is long-lasting)
Lip gloss: MAC plushglass or MAC lustreglass
(something that has a lot of color in it & a lot of shine. i have pretty full lips already, so i don’t want too much plumping power. )
Lipstick: no clue
(i just want something in a very pale color to get that nude lip look.)
