Okay so i have my dance recital this weekend & Therese a girl in my class that its her first year dancing & she has no clue on how to go about doing her makeup so i offered she said yes im good at applying makeup to myself but i never did it to anyone else. Any tips she has straight eyelashes i don’t no how to deal with that because i have curly & she has like black hair please help . 5 stars for the longest detailed one.(we use mascara, lipstick(red), eye showdow & glitter shadow & powder sprinkle thing)

I use eyelid & foundation primer, but I’ve never tried lip primer. I’m a student & everytime I apply something like lip gloss, stain, or lipstick, I end up wiping it off with a napkin at lunch before I eat. So, I’m not sure if I should spend an extra $22 or so on lip primer because I’d just be wiping it off anyway, defeating the purpose for the primer. However, I still want the color to last (it fades). My friend told me I could put lip balm (seems pretty similar to the primer sticks) over my lip gloss, stain, or lipstick instead of the primer. Will that work?

I have very pale skin with dark under eye circles, i was interested in mineral makeup but how do u tell which is the right color for ur skin? Is there a special way to apply it? What could I do with my eyes, I have dark grey eyes with really dark eyelashes but my hair color is dark sandy blonde. How do I choose a lipstick that goes well with my pale skin? I need some fashion advice from the ladies please, 10 points for the most helpful & detailed! At the office where I work some women were complaining about how hard it is to wear high heels all day & I joked that it can’t be that hard. They ended up betting me that I could not spend a day wearing them & it kind of built from there! So I have taken this bet. There is a Christmas party one night in December which is a costume party. I have to dress as a glamorous woman for it & they got the boss to agree that I should dress like them for work all that day too. These are the rules:
* I must wear high stiletto heels all day
* I must wear a smart suit for work with a short skirt
* My dress for the party must be mini length
* EVERYTHING I wear must be womens clothing!
* there will be a vote to decide if I am “convincing” enough to win the bet.

You are lucky to have brown skin tone. You should use a foundation of a shade lighter than your skin tone. Ensure that you apply foundation on your nech, back & ears because the difference in skin tone will be visible if only applied on face. Dab some face powder on yout hands as well. The basic colors that will suit a brown skin tone is – light gloss for lips – you can choose all earthy shades or light pinks. If you want to apply lipstick & no gloss then go for all nude shades/earthy tones like browns. For your cheeks – go for light brown or dusky shade of blusher – just apply it on your cheek bones, jaw line & nose line to highlight your features. For eyes – just apply a stroke of gold glitter & you can use this gold glitter on your cheek bones. Also use this glitter to highlight your nude skin (your back, shoulder etc.) All these tricks can be used for evening look. But if you want to be dressed for a morning function – just be simple. A stroke of any earthy shade blusher on your cheeks & eyes & use a brown lip gloss. If you like than use a kajal (black or brown) or a eye liner to highlight your eyes.

OK so she has a little self esteem. Somedays she say “oh i look pretty” But then some days she be like “Eww look at me im disgusting!”. When she see other pretty pretty girls her self esteem just drops even more. She is liteskinned with an average big nose, Big lips, And beautiful eyes, Her hair is long & she has average ears not big or too small. But the thing is this girl gets all the clothes & accessories she could possibly want like if you looked at her closet its not even funny. But how can I try to build up her self esteem, I tell her she looks good but she doesn’t believe me she says im just saying that. Primer for the lips. They do make it & its kind of one of those products that you buy once & thats it. Sorry to the person who said put foundation on your lips, but people usually only do that to make the color of the lipstick be true to its color on your lips. Doesn’t really make it stay.

I have a job interview this Friday & this will be my 1st interview b/c I never had one b4 yet. So I have some questions to ask about the interview hope some1 can help me answer it:
1. What do you say when you meet the interviewer?
2. Does it matter who do the hand-shake 1st, or you have to be the one to start 1st?
3. So I’ll dress all in black suit & black shoes so is it ok if I wear a crossed-shoulder bag that is in silver color? I have a black handbag but I just like to wear this crossed shoulder bag more. Would it be ok or it have to be in black to match w/ my suit & shoes?
4. What do you say to the interviewer after the interview is over?
5. If you have to bring a copy of your resume, DL, & other documents so where do you put them, does it have to be in the folder or portfolio?
6. When I go to the interview does it require that long hair have to tie up? My hair is just a bit longer than shoulder length & I always leave it like that b/c I never put my hair up at all. If I have to tie it up now I feel kind of uncomfortable.
6. I’m a girl, 23 yrs old but I never in my life wear lipstick or makeup before b/c I just wanna look naturally that’s all I’ll trying to wear them when I’m get a bit older. So does it require that the female have to wear makeup when go to the interview or it’s just up to you? I know its kinda a straight forward concept, but I was wondering if there are any ways to make it better? haha

For years, I’ve observed in films that depict the Colonial years, many of the men wore make-up. It’s usually brightly white powder looking make-up on their faces, their cheeks are often covered with tiny bits of red, & it even looks like they have on lipstick as well as eyeliner.
What exactly did they apply on their face? I know it was make-up, but how was make-up different back then from today, if at all? Was this something only the rich men did? Was there a reason? Was that just the fashion style? Also, does anyone know of any books or websites that cover this subject?
I just watched Stanley Kubrick’s “Barry Lyndon” for the first time yesterday, so it got the wheels in my head spinning a bit on this topic. I’ve noticed plenty of times the male characters wearing the make-up before in films, but have never researched it.
BTW – Was this fashion style also used by the leaders of both sides of the conflict during the American Revolution?

Adriana Davis sat patiently on her Louis Vouttion luggage with a copy of Allure on her lap. Flipping through the gossiping section about Brittany Spears, she sipped her mocha latte from the Star bucks in the food court. It was almost the end of June & she & her best friends, Amber, Tina, & Cali, were headed off to beautiful Black Point, Hawaii for spring break. Adriana could just picture it now. Stepping out of midnight black limo onto a red velvet rug outside of a five star hotel. Young hotel bellhops offering her non-alcoholic beverages. As orange orchids waved in the breeze in tan stucco boxes with ivy plants cascading out them. Walking through the golden spinning door into a beautiful lobby. Lots of other -soon to be-graduates & adults would be there waiting to be check in. Admiring the beautiful stained glass windows & new age paintings on the walls. A bronze chandelier with teardrop shaped bulbs flickers over head. It was perfect.
Adriana was a beautiful girl with wavy summer brown hair with light blonde streaks & been lucky enough to have been born with pool water color eyes. Its actually looks as if you could actually dive into them. Amber is a skinny tanned girl with very dark -almost black- hair & cat shaped, bright green eyes. She loves it when people say she looks like an innocent kitten. Tina is an Asian beauty. She has light skin but glossy black hair & light almond colored eyes. Cali is the most boy crazy one of the girls. Her shoulder length blonde hair & dark brown eyes always are getting compliments.
Adriana checked her icy blue T-Mobile Sidekick for e-mails or IM’s. None. She wondered where her friends were. When she heard some girls yelling “Adriana,” she turned around to see her friends running towards her with over stuffed suitcases. Tina was in the new Emilie Coach Sandals trailing behind the other girls with a Cinnabon bag in her hand. Adriana could smell the warm, freshly baked cinnamon buns from far away. Yum. When everyone was caught up, they all gave each other a group hug.
“Our plane leaves in 10 minutes. What do you wanna do?” Tina asked. Cali bent over & struggled with the zipper on her Prada Messenger Bag & took out a misty green iPod nano & her white iHome. “We could listen to my new iPod if you want. I got two days ago.” “Cool! Lemme see!” Amber took the iPod out of Cali’s manicured hands & flicked it on. The screen went snow white & amber vigorously searched for her favorite song; Makes me Wonder by Maroon 5. Her father used to manage all kinds of unsigned artists & once, before Maroon 5 was a real famous band, she met them.
The thumping beat of the song started playing once docked in the iHome & all four girls sat down & discussed plans for while in Hawaii.
“Well, I heard from some people at school that there’s going to be an Earth Fest,” Tina said excitedly.
“A What?” the other girls asked.
“An Earth Fest. You know, like a free concert.” She explained.
Tina was overly obsessed with any type of music. Especially pop & rock. Her blinding smile was shown & her dancing almond colored eyes flickered with happiness.
“That’s cool! We should go!” Cali said in a very overjoyed voice.
“ Yeah! It would be fun,” Adriana said.
“Who’s going to be there?” Amber asked.
“+44, John Mayer, The Academy Is…, Matt Kearney, Avril Lavigne, & Daughtry.” Tina answered.
“OHMIGOD!! +44 & The Academy is..?! I LOVE them!” Adriana practically yelled.
“I like all of them! Except, I’ve never heard of Matt Kearney.” Amber said.
The next song came on. It was Golden by Fall Out Boy.
“Matt Kearney is kind’ of pop rockish & really cool. We can listen to him on the plane.”
The girls began to sing along to Golden.
And I saw god crying the reflection of my enemies

“Flight 168 to Black Point, Hawaii now boarding,” a mans voice said over the intercom. It echoed down the long spiral hall as people began to get up & throw coffee cups & magazines away to board the plane.
All the girls got up & gathered there things & Cali shut off her iPod. She popped it in her bag & trailed behind the other girls. The Dark colored woman outside of the plane held her hand out for the flight tickets & when she punched them through the silver ticket machine, the group made there way down the long hallway into the plane.

They have been together since the beginning of the year & now that it was May, they were officially lovebirds.

Adriana snapped her sidekick shut & stuffed it in her Burberry purse & began to dug through the disaster of a purse she had to find her cell phone. She flipped down the small, light gray table hanging off the back of the seat in front of her & place the purse there. She had just gotten it three days before & already, the $495 purse had been reduce to a teenager wasteland. She dug through her iPod, two mini crossword puzzles, 4 lip gloss tubes, two eyeliner crayons, three tubes of mascara, 3 tubes of lipstick, her sidekick, two packages of Orbit Gum (Tropical Citrus & Bubblemint), three old photos of her dog Selena, her silver Sony Cyber shot DSCW55 7.2MP Digital Camera, chewed up pencils, her Dooney & Bourke bubble wristlet credit card wallet (with 5 Platinum credit cards & $687.58 in cash) makeup remover, tissues & her car keys (which she didn’t need this week). She finally pulled out her phone from that bottomless pit of a bag & flicked it open. The bright blue light blinded her for a moment then she pressed ‘4’ (Sean was speed dial4 because of 4 letters in his name). And the phone began to ring.

“Hey. You’ve Reached Sean-o. Leave me a message. I’ll get back to you later.” It was the answering machine. So, Adriana left a message.
“Hey Sean. Its Adriana & I just wanted to see how Mexico is. So, text me later or call back. Alright, I love you. Bye.” & she snapped the phone shut.
She woke up to the sound of her T Mobile Sidekick ringing. She had fallen asleep. When she saw the time of the 3” by 2” screen, she’d realized she’d only fallen asleep for five minutes. Man, the pillows were comfy. It wasn’t a phone call. It was a text Message. From Sean. Adriana got excited & signed on quickly. She realized he had sent it to her two minutes ago.
