Wrighters Block, Help! English Script For Course Work, I Need A Suggestion For A Good Ending?

Scene 1: Joe & Bill sitting by the lake listing to the radio, there fishing rods are on pegs holding them into the water, Bill’s fishing rod starts to move so he jumps up to get it when his phone starts ringing.
Bill: Hello? (Flustering, trying to keep hold of the fishing rod whilst on the phone)
(Mary’s voice is played on a speaker phone)
Mary: hey Joe its Mary.
Bill: Oh hi Mary (as he says this he gets over exited & drops the fishing rod)
Joe: What did you do that for you idiot!?
Bill: SHHHH! Marys on the phone, (making gestures to Joe)
Mary: I was just wondering if you wanted to go to the old sweet shop tonight, you see, it’s closed down & the rumour is that all the sweets are still in there.
Bill: Course I can tonight.
Joe: Hey! We are meant to be going to watch Mirrors tonight. (Stamps his feet & turns away from bill)
Bill: Come on Joe, free sweets. How can you resist? PLEEEEEEASE (goes right into Joes face & smiles really big)
Joe: Ahh okay, but this is the LAST time I change my plans for you (points right in bills face)
Bill: (turns away from Joe) Alright Mary, I’ll see you at the old oak at 8 o’clock.
Mary: Oh good, see you there. (Hangs up)
Bill: Get in (starts punching the air)
Joe: You weirdo, she don’t like you, you know what she is like.
Bill: (faces the audience) I can dream.
(Joe & bill both exit lights fade)
Scene 2: lights up on Bill sitting on a basic bed in a rusty cell. Inside the cell there is a sink & a barred window & a dim spotlight.
Bill: (facing the audience, walking from side to side) it shouldn’t of happened like that, I shouldn’t of made my best friend do what I wanted to do all the time, it’s not fair he should be here now, & so should Mary, the one person I knew I loved. They think it’s me, (raises voice) THE PIGS THINK ITS ME. (Starts softly crying) Me? Why would I do that to my friends? I’m stuck here till other evidence is found. This isn’t a place for a person like me, (starts to get angry) I’m not as strong as I make out & now I’m hurt, hurt inside it’s my fault. No longer can I think of things that have been or things that maybe. It was me, me, me. (Starts crying more heavily) My fault. Death would be better then this guilt that I feel. Death is what they got. Death is what I deserve. (Turns away from the audience, & hangs a sheet over his bed. a silhouette of Bill tipping a pot of pills down his throat) Let’s see what may be. (Collapses on the bed, lights go down)
Scene 3: a dim street light is the only light they have shining on a little wooden shack entitled “the sweet shop” Mary is sitting under a tree putting on lipstick, bill & Joe enter.
Bill: Hey Mary, (runs over to Mary, she stands up & gives him a hug)
Joe: Hi (in a stroppy blunt voice)
Mary: Come here you moody sod (runs up to him & gives him a huge squeeze)
Joe: Get off, get off. (Starts to giggle)
Bill: So how do we get in to it then? (Looks at Mary)
Mary: Well you big strong boys should be able to break a window latch or something (in a flirtatious way)
Joe: Bahhhhh, look at that weedy twig (points to Bill)
Bill: Piss off (punches Joe in the arm)
Joe: Owwww! That really hurt (in a sarcastic voice, pokes tongue out)
(Whilst Joe & Bill have been mucking about Mary had already picked the door lock with her hair clip)
Mary: Here you go you puffs (smugly smiles)
(Lights fade)
Scene 4: Very dim Lights show Joe, Bill & Mary standing in a dusty, run down sweet shop.
Mary: So what actually are we getting from here? (Looking at Joe & Bill)
Joe: sweets.
Mary: Duhhhh! I meant what sweet? Well whatever just have a look round & pick up what you want.
