Lipstick Answers

Okay well my mum is white with blond hair & blue eyes & my dad is brown. he’s not really dark so of course im really light tanned, have blue-green eyes & (naturally)dark brown hair. Im often confused called puerto rican or lebanese.
There are blushes & lipsticks for mixed & white girls but none of them look right on me. Why is that?
My friend said its because I don’t know my undertones or anything so how to I figure that out?

I have very pale skin with dark under eye circles, i was interested in mineral makeup but how do u tell which is the right color for ur skin? Is there a special way to apply it? What could I do with my eyes, I have dark grey eyes with really dark eyelashes but my hair color is dark sandy blonde. How do I choose a lipstick that goes well with my pale skin? I honestly have no idea about anything on applying makeup & what brands are good, any help would be great. Thanks

You are lucky to have brown skin tone. You should use a foundation of a shade lighter than your skin tone. Ensure that you apply foundation on your nech, back & ears because the difference in skin tone will be visible if only applied on face. Dab some face powder on yout hands as well. The basic colors that will suit a brown skin tone is – light gloss for lips – you can choose all earthy shades or light pinks. If you want to apply lipstick & no gloss then go for all nude shades/earthy tones like browns. For your cheeks – go for light brown or dusky shade of blusher – just apply it on your cheek bones, jaw line & nose line to highlight your features. For eyes – just apply a stroke of gold glitter & you can use this gold glitter on your cheek bones. Also use this glitter to highlight your nude skin (your back, shoulder etc.) All these tricks can be used for evening look. But if you want to be dressed for a morning function – just be simple. A stroke of any earthy shade blusher on your cheeks & eyes & use a brown lip gloss. If you like than use a kajal (black or brown) or a eye liner to highlight your eyes.

I dress normally in Skinny Jeans & a tee Shirt With a jacket sometimes, old converse & a studded belt. I do my make up With thick black eyeliner pale lipstick & silver eyeshadow – Is this Attractive?
I just want some hints on how to become more attractive. What way to dress & How to do my makeup. Also where can i buy The clothes you talk about.
Things I Would Think To buy-
Shorts, Dresses, Taktops, Shirts, pants, Skirts, Hats, All makeup.

I’m 15 & I don’t really wear makeup. Where I live, it’s mostly hot & sunny, & I play sports so I’d wash most of it off. But a couple events are coming up (dances, etc.) & I’d like to buy a few staple makeup products. Plz tell me if you’ve used these before or if you have any recommendations. I’d prefer to buy from drugstores since my budget is relatively low.
Eyeliner: Revlon Colorstay vs. CoverGirl Outlast
(i’d like an eyeliner that doesn’t smudge & is long-lasting)
Lip gloss: MAC plushglass or MAC lustreglass
(something that has a lot of color in it & a lot of shine. i have pretty full lips already, so i don’t want too much plumping power. )
Lipstick: no clue
(i just want something in a very pale color to get that nude lip look.)

My dress is purple & grey & i am not sure what i should do makeup wise. The purple is dark purple where as the grey is a light grey. I am dark skin toned & am not sure if i should do a smokey eye because of the grey in the dress. I would also greatly appreciate assistance regarding lipgloss/lipstick , blush , etc. By the way this is for a preety grand/dressy event.

i want to acheive that pinup girl/ vintage 1940s look makeup wise but every time i look up videos or websites that would help me apply the desired look, they’re always for Caucasian women & never for African American girls. are there no black rockabillies, or am i the only one? i’m not mixed or else i’d be able to use the same tips due to having that lighter skin tone. My skin is the color of a Crayola brown crayon, maybe a little darker. every site i’ve seen suggests ivory or cream or pearl to highlight my highbrow but nothing for my skin tone. And i need to know what blushes would look good on me without it standing out like pink baby powder on my cheeks. Also, i can’t find a bright red lipstick that looks godd against my skin but still has that pouty pop! is it good to outline my red lips with black liner? somebody? anybody? i’m desperate!

Ok, so right now i have really thick brown hair with a natural curl & it takes about 2 hours to wash, dry & straighten, it is a real pain. I need some new tips on styles & cuts, & ways to do my hair. I have acne but my mom refuses to buy me anything for it so home remedies & steps to get rid of it help. I am working out now but I need help with a routine to loose at least 25-30 pounds soon, food eating habits help too. I also need help with make up. I use a skin tone (by the way I am white/caucasion) please no lipSTICK or eyeliner or eyeshadow & nothing too expensive.

Covergirl Loose Powder (portable looking container, with a built in kabuki brush at the top)
*sometimes if I have under-eye circles or blemishes I need to cover I have this Concealer stick that comes in a lipstick looking container with yellow undertones
Rimmel London Pack of three eyeshadows in brown shades (light, medium, dark)
Maybelline Brown Eyeliner pencil with a smudger tip
Covergirl Blush
I would love some tips on how to apply foundation & concealer & powder, but anything would be lovely.

Primer for the lips. They do make it & its kind of one of those products that you buy once & thats it. Sorry to the person who said put foundation on your lips, but people usually only do that to make the color of the lipstick be true to its color on your lips. Doesn’t really make it stay.

I’ve been wanting to try wearing red lipstick for a while now but not sure what type of shade to go for. I have dark brown hair, with a coppery tone & pale blue eyes & pale skin. Any brands & shades you can suggest? I get confused by all this cool & warm undertones stuff lol

This next question may seem weird but here goes. I am looking for answers on this one from those who can relate (so basically people the same shade as me). I am the same shade as Gabrielle Union & Jennifer Hudson. What shade of lipstick & and eye makeup would look best on me? Please no one guess plum because that is awful on medium to dark brown skin.

I really loved the make up on Bella in Twilight, & in a magazine article. It says all her eye make up was MAC, & it’s just too expensive for me. So I bought a cheaper brand of make up with the same eyeshadow colors. The only thing that bugs me about it is that it has a little glitter. (I HATE GLITTER) I didn’t even know it had glitter, I just knew after I bought it (they didn’t have a tester) Is there a way to get rid of the glitter?? Anyway, I’ve looked at some tutorials on youtube & I tried doing it but mine always ends up messy, I don’t know if the make up is just too cheap (got it for like $5, i feel bad about blaming the make up) or am I just applying it wrong? This is my first time, so does applying eyeshadow take practice? Or is it like lipstick where you just know how to put it on?
