I’m doing Halloween as a vampire, but I don’t want to do face paint or the overly dead look, like purple eye bags etc – I still want to look sexy!
I’m already pale as **** & I have dark brown hair, eyes & brows, & no red lipsticks suit me (I’ve tried so many, even ladies at make-up counters find it odd!) :[

It seems like all lesbians want lipsticks, & i’m just not getting it. I’m definitely not butch but i’m not super femme either i’m in the middle & i’m just like wtf. It seems like I can’t meet anyone or I just don’t know where to & I need advice, I just don’t get it.

Folks I need your advice. This will sound really bloody stupid but have a really bad problem letting go of memories of times when I’ve hurt people. I still get upset now thinking of stupid, trite things I said as a kid. I KNOW that they don’t matter, & I KNOW that the other person involved will have long forgotten about these trivial events, but I can’t stop beating myself up over it. How do I stop this? What the hell is wrong with me that I can’t just let stuff go like a normal person would??
An example – I remember being 8 yrs old, my mum asking me to help her choose a lipstick, & I said it didn’t matter because she was ugly. It was a horrible thing to say (I never did anything nasty like that again, by the way) & I still remember the hurt look on her face & kick myself for it. THAT WAS 22 YEARS AGO!!!! I tried to get it out of my head by talking to her about it a few years back – it was the only way I could make myself feel better. She was shocked, as she’d long forgotten.

I just turned 18. Girls at my school have been wearing make up since like 6th grade, & some of it just looked completely ridiculous because one, they wore too much, & two, they wore outrageous colors.
Basically, Ive never worn makeup. My mother has never worn it either, so I can’t turn to her to learn to put make up on.
Any suggestions? I actually never considered wearing any, but I figured I might try it & like it.
I don’t care for blush or lipstick. I’m just wondering about eyeliner, eyeshadow, mascara, lipgloss. nothing heavy heavy.
How do I learn to put it on? Do I just mess around with my skintone & see what looks right? In that case, where can I buy some cheap makeup to just mess around with?
Also, are there any places I might be able to go to that wouldn’t charge that much to just sit down & help me choose the right colors for my skintone? What places & how much would something like that cost?
Also, my prom is next month. Where would I be able to go to get my makeup done for prom?
Id actually prefer just to mess around by myself & figure it out rather than spending money to have someome help me, but i’m asking advice, so please help!

ummm i was thinking i should cut my bangs like 1/2 or 1 inch so theyre immediatley above my eyebrows. i dont want my side swept brows anymore because a. people are copying me & b. ive had then for 3 years…
what do you think about me cutting them? if they were cut i wouldnt sweept them though.

I am just full of questions tonight! I really want to do my own makeup for my wedding, I cannot stand the thought of someone else doing it. With that said, my sister & I have been debating on what colors, if any, I should wear for eyeshadow, blush, lipstick, etc. It is a beach wedding in Florida on November 1st so I won’t be wearing super formal makeup & since it is Florida & will be in the 80’s, I don’t have to abide by the seasons for choosing colors. I want to not match exactly my theme, but coordinate. My girls are wearing aqua dresses & I am wearing white. We all will have silver jewelry & be carrying bouquets of white oriental lilies & bright pink stargazer lilies. Okay, so I never have been much for makeup, just some quick eyeliner on the bottom & then maybe some mascara if I have time & using a compact to cover up things. With that in mind I would like help with makeup, I mean I’m old enough & what not I just haven’t really gotten into it ever other than that little routine. I want to know things that every girl should have in her makeup bag/collection. How to chose eye shadow? Lipstick/lip liners? Blush & where to put it or Bronzer (what is that even?) whenever I try to apply eyeliner to my top eye lid it just looks ridiculous to me so I don’t think I am doing it right. Anyways, basically what I am asking is just makeup tips & advice you can give me. Thanks everyone.

My boyfriend has a 12 year old son. Since the day I met him he seemed a little femine to me, he always compliments me on my outfits, hair & shoes. Recently his dad found a letter that he wrote to one of his friends stating that he met a cute guy & that he had a dream he had sex & married this guy. Another time I caught him putting some of my lipstick & kissing the mirror. We want him to feel confortable to talk to us & we want to let him know that if he is gay its ok. I have been trying to get books on this subject or the possibility of being a transgender but I realy have no idea on how to approach him. i often find myself looking at other women’s face & see how the makeup is done!
when i see something wrong, i can’t even concentrate on the conversation. i’m like, “omg. how did that happen!? i wish i could fix that for her..”,or “did she use a marker to draw that eye brow?” etc.
the other day, i couldn’t concentrate on my shopping, because this older looking lady who was wearing a black lipliner with pink lipstick was my casher..i was tempted to say something to correct her, but i thought “no” i shouldn’t..and i didn’t.
nobody wants to hear any personal advice from a stranger, right?

Help with hostile work environment…?
Long story so I’m going to make it short. I worked at this hotel for almost 3 years. I left to go to college in another state for two years & when i returned home that same hotel offered me a job in management as the Front Desk Manager. I took it thinking it was going to get the expierence & learn & grow in the hotel business. Well they haven’t taught me anything & don’t let me do anything. It’s as if they don’t trust me to do the work. They have talk about me to other employees. They meaning the General Manager & the Assistant Manager. The hotel is small so I am right under the Assistant Manager. They do not impliment rules, have fav. , talk down to us, tell us that we need to wear lipstick, loose weight, fix our hair different. They contridict things … I am so tired of them putting me down everyday … I just have been taking it & holding it in. Today The GM finally said something to me in front of another employee, & that employee said “wow i have never seen them talk that bad to anyone, it’s like they get joy out of being this mean to you” & she was almost in tears for me. I have tried to learn new things, ask them for advice on how to be a manager, since I am only 24 & never been a manager before. I am at the point where I dred coming to work, I don’t care what goes on here. I am just so frustrated & when I try to talk to them about it they turn it all one me as if they are attacking me. I can’t sit & talk to them about my concerns & problems here at work. The verbal harrassment I can’t take. How do you deal with these kind of people, or what can I do? Theres so many things I could tell you but I would be writting for days. I do understand that I am not perfect & do make mistakes here, but these fits & harsh words & things they say are out of no where. I bust my *** here & don’t know what to do ? i have really dry skin on my lips, & they are really sore.
i’ve tried to cover it with pale lipstick but you can just see the dry skin even more!
i have tried most lip balms, most recently “Nivea SOS” which does soothe my lips but doesn’t get rid of the excess skin. i have also tried biting the skin off then using vaseline but that didn’t work either.
my lips are also darker than usual (dark pink) & i have a very pale complexion, so the dark, dry, peeling lips are very noticable & i’m feeling very self concious about it!
i read that it could be dehydration? but i seem to drink enough fluids..
i’m almost 17 & currently following weight watchers if that matters? could it be the diet change?
what ever the cause, i’d love it if somebody gave me some advice please

I might be a Little trans gender

I have had a bizarre & really irritating reaction on my lips from time to time that lasts for weeks to a little over a month. The area directly around my lips gets red & itchy, making them swell up a little but only makes them look like a very mild version of Angelina Jolie’s lips. A couple of days after this, the area right on the lips but on the outermost part gets very chapped & no matter how much chapstick I put on (I try to use the Blistex medicated, for cold sores & super chapped lips), it still feels extremely dry & like the skin on my lips is tight. It stays chapped & mildly itchy like this for weeks until it fades away, seemingly on its own.
I find that when this happens, I can tell a few days earlier before the first symptoms, my lips tingle a little & are a little itchy. As it is going on, I try to take some sort of allergy med, like Singulair, & I think this helps make it go away a little faster, but it still doesn’t go away in less than 2 weeks.
What does this sound like? I have no idea what it could be & it only started maybe two years ago. I haven’t changed lip glosses or brands, don’t really wear lipstick, & the chapsticks I usually use are Blistex or Lip Smackers. I’ve never had a reaction before. Does this sound like a beeswax allergy? Any advice on what to do or how to find out? Anything would be appreciated.

Um, to cover my flaws I use one of those drug kind conclears that looks like it’s in a lipstick case. But, I found out it wasn’t so good.
Anyways, I have a white skin & its not really tanned, so most of my flaws are bright red & pinkish. So, I try covering them up with my concealer & they are not good T.T I have pimples I want to cover up that comes up every once in a while..like on my forhead & cheeks. And the most problem I have is that my nose is red & especially around it. So, I try getting “rid” of my reddishness with the concealer. But at the end, it looks sooo cakey, gross & it even feels gross…it feels like clogged up pores & all….
My nose has a crease around the edge of it, so it getts really red & the skin around my nose peels off easily…so like when I put on concealer, my nose looks even drier because of the peeled skin & ……….its really gross….
I dont know how to explain it but…how could I get it to look more natural & not fake? T.T Do you recommend the MAC concealers or other products I can use? is liquid better? is the pencil kind good?

I have dark, dark, brown wavy/straight hair.It’s couple of inches past my shoulders & I have a face frame. My eyes are hazel & my skin is pale. I have some freckles. My lips are on the small side.
What shades of make-up would be good for me? I’m in high school, so nothing too dramatic. Just eyeliner, eyeshadow, mascara & lipgloss. (not lipstick or lipliner!) I don’t like using foundation or anything of that sort, so I don’t need any advice there . Thank you so much!
